In this I wanted to give a creepy vibe and in this I just made a drawing first then copied it and moved it a bit and I felt that doing this will give a creepy psychological vibe in the viewer

OC character design is hard lol
By Tommy Pinedo
Hey everyone!
Over the past week and a half, I’ve been spending my days working on my OC and wow, I didn’t realize how much time, trial and error, and exploration goes into creating a character! It’s been a real learning process, and I wanted to apply what I’ve learned from Figure Drawing Fundamentals and Drawing Basics to bring this personal project to life.
So here she is my OC, Eva! ✨
I also attached a couple of images: a quick thumbnail study (I probably should’ve done more!) and a sketch of her outfit. I had a lot more exploratory sketches, but I’ll spare you the full sketch dump this time. 😅
This project taught me so much including what I still want to improve. I made plenty of mistakes, but I’m excited to keep practicing. For my next attempt, I think I’ll try working in ink and maybe add some gray/black markers to play with value and contrast.
I’m not 100% happy with this result yet, but I know it’s just the first step. It feels good to finally get her down on paper and I’m excited to keep developing her!

Hello everyone
Hello everyone in this following drawing I drew a skull and snake on the bg and with this I wanted to play with the composition of it as indicated in the second image with markings also i experimented with line weight as I have never tried drawing with line weight the reason I chose black and red is to give it a more demonic look
Also I took refference for the skull and snake

Character design portfolio, Rejected, Got lost in what to do next.
By @yearly7777
Hello great artists
Im kind of a newbe on this group, but I've been drawing for quite some time. Recently my portfolio got rejected from school that I wanted to attend. That event struck me like a lightning and in conclusion I got lost in prioritys of things. Firstly I know for sure that I want to attend to this school next year. Secondly I know I have to get better at design and I know for sure Proko is the best place to get help with that. So here I am asking for some kind of help. I'll link my porfolio here. Go ahead and check it out!!!

Character Design Critique
By Caleb
Hello, I'm trying to improve my visual character design and make characters for the comic I'm working on. I was looking for critique and advice for this character. I plan to create an illustration/splash art for her and use her in a comic later down the line.
The theme of this character is a Fashionable Field Scouter who's secretly a bug queen. This character is planned to have a human and bug form. I wanted to give off the feeling if you look long enough you'll notice minor details that she is an insectoid.
So I was wondering if the shrug jacket and skirt are too bland?
With the clothes, I wanted to portray her expressing herself even with the straight-edge uniform. I was thinking of adding a pattern to the shrug jacket but I feel like it would become the focal point of the character when I really want the eyes to be that and the first thing people see when they look at this character. I decided not to go crazy with the render yet to see if I could add something to them before adding the material.
I wanted to ensure the human form was decent enough before I started working on the bug form. Any other critique or advice is welcomed. Thank you.

Can anyone give feedback
Here I was just planning out the thumbnails for color and I was aiming to get a vintage plus a spooky feel simultaneously at first I tried this but later I thought to like to go very abstract so I did whatever came to my mind
So would these color combination work.
My main aim is to get a evil spooky feel with the character plus a vintage feel simultaneously

By Jo Edgehill
Hi! I don't have a drawing this time ,but a question about drawing monitors. I was looking to get one for under $500 , and these are the two options I picked. Does anyone have any experience with either of these monitors ? I have windows 10 ,by the way. Thank you! :)

Character Expression Critique
I am taking Aaron Blaise character design course. This lesson was on simple character expressions. The characters are not the same. The focus is whether or not the characters convey the correct emotion. Some were easier to figure out and others took quite a few iterations. Any feedback on how to improve the designs or your process for character expressions.

My first concept art portfolio. I need criticism or opinions, so I can get job on the concept art AAA games industry
By Baruna Khs
This project is still very much trial and error. This concept art is inspired by Ubisoft's game "Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora".
I recommend checking the full progress, to avoid misconceptions:

Based on your experiences, what do you think needs improvement to be accepted into the concept art industry, especially for AAA games?

Please can anyone give their feedback
Hello everyone the following is a fusion of a telephone and binoculars and hand(the spherical ball is the dialer of the telephone)and he is someone with whom you can cantact Lucifer and then sell your soul to him and I wanted to make it look evil and shady also I wanted to use this character in making comics and an animation on it so I wish to seek y'all feedback on the following-
1- shape design
2- visual weight and balance
3-personality
*The binoculars would act as his eyes and with the telephone handle he would speak and listen
If you feel anything else that you wanna say about this piece feel free to tell

AI for reference generation?
By John Aycock
I’ve been using AI to generate references. Not all of them, but some of them. Especially for concept art and world building. Does anyone else here do that? If not, honestly, I suggest it. It’s so versatile. You can change the colors and lighting as you want. But the image is never EXACTLY what you imagined so you’ll still have the added challenge of making your personal changes. Thoughts?

Vigilante character design
By Frog
Hello!
I have this character whom I plan to use in a comic someday.
He is a vigilante trying to take down a corrupt, dystopian government. He utilizes kicks, punches, and a Bo staff when fighting. Taekwondo is the main inspiration.
With this design, I am struggling with showing personality/fighting style, colors, and the shape language. I use red and white to show that he’s actually a pretty angry dude, however he tries his best to keep it contained. The black belt is because…well, he’s a martial artist.
However, I am not sure how to show his kicking-dominated style effectively. Not only that, but I feel that the silhouette is bland; there’s little variation in the sizing, but I don’t know what to bulk up or slim down. Finally, I am disappointed with the black-on-black (undergarments & belt), but the belt being black seems important to me, and I don’t know what to do for the undergarments.
Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. :-)
