Here are three characters I made. I went for more symbolic look for now and I intend to later develop more details for each. However I'd like to ask about their "shape readibility(?)". Are there parts that look confusing, let's say armor part doesn't "read" as such etc. I'm aware that the left shoulder on all looks like it's missing and the right hand is... well it's there.

Hey Ketamine, I wanted to give you a proper critique on your character design. Besides what I mentioned before about the knees, the other thing I wanted to mention is the pose. What you have is very stiff because you didn't use any gesture in the pose. Everything is made up of straight lines, which will always result in stiffness. There are some other things that I think will help you going forward that I put in a sketch of your character. I hope it helps :)

looks like you need to rethink how this character is going to bend his knees. Make sure the costume makes it clear where and how the joints move.

The one that immediately stands out to me is the third solider. I think it's trying to come across as a dagger, but it blends into the amor making it look like some kind of strange wrist attachment.
