New Doctor Who personal project progress!
Hey everybody, here’s some drawings for a little project I’ve been working quite a bit on, a new Doctor who! I’m a big fan of the show and there’s just so much you could do with the amazing premise of the series. I’m working on some story ideas I’ll hopefully do some rough storyboards for eventually, and i definitely want to learn more about story structure and all that awesome stuff.  for now I’ve mostly just been having fun trying to work on the characters. And of course a bit of the tardis, really want to work more on that since designing rooms and hard surface stuff in general is way out of my comfort zone, but there couldn’t be a funner thing to design! I’ve been trying to write down ideas for characters and story to go off of and build, so that’s progressing too.  Since I am a fan of the show I need to try hard not to make it super similar to what’s already been made haha, need to come up with some new ideas!! Character development! I’ve only been learning a little so far, but learning about story structure and character building is extremely interesting and I’ve come to see how essential it is, even if I don’t become a writer lol. And bill Perkins visual storytelling class I’ve been slowly going though on NMA has been awesome as well for learning all sorts of mind blowing composition knowledge! Good stuff. For the Tardis room I was trying to make it feel really spacious and focus on having very organic feeling shapes, hopefully give it an alien feel. Definitely need to do some more ideation in it,since there’s a lot of room to do something different, see all the different directions you could go. Also I need to work on not making all the same size shapes and sections, make more clear distinct big medium small. And I was trying to apply something I heard Steven Zapata talk about on designing rooms: never just make a box and put stuff in it. Think about different levels, interesting shapes and structures. Just thought it’d be a good idea to show some ideas I’ve been working on, I’d of course appreciate any thoughts thanks!

Art Prompt- Witch or Wizard with a pet Lizard
Hello! I'm just sharing what I did when studying Marco Bucci's technique. The character was from an art prompt generator. It's so fun doing this, still not done rendering though.

How to practice Appealing Shapes
Hello, Below is an attached image of my study of someone else`s work. Of course, the less impressive one is my study. XD My question is not about how to copy better. I personally love and admire artworks with amazing shape language. I have been recently Practicing these types of images like the one attached below. My question is... Am I on the right track? Is there a better way to practice this? I really lack experience in backgrounds but I really want to get good at them So Show me a better way if you can please. Thank you VERY much!

Character portrait - from reference. Shape design??
Hey guys!! I wanted to share with you this way of practicing that I grabbed from @Ahmed Aldoori . Where he picks a ref and starts asking the question "What if?" in order to bring in the design to the portrait. (Here's the video of him explaining the method https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2cS32ybTPU ) I tried to stay focused and keep always in mind shape design. Thoughts?

Concept Exercises and Portfolio Building: Concept Redesigns
When you're having a hard time trying to think of an idea for a concept a great solution can be to redesign characters from existing IPs. Not only is this a great way to expand your repertoire, but if done well, these concepts can be used in your portfolio. In this piece I explored redesigns for the main character and some of his alter-egos from the Sega Genesis title, Kid Chameleon. This was a staple during my childhood, and I had a lot of fun designing these concepts.

Warrior Prince Concept Art
Hello everyone, I am looking for feedback on this Character Design. He is the son of the Viking Leader (the second image). He is kind-hearted, unlike his father. He is Calm, Smart, and Brave. He is 20 to 25 years old. I am struggling with a few things, 1. I am struggling with making him look young and manly at the same time. 2. I am struggling to make him look royal and he just doesn't look like he is the son of a Viking Leader 3. His face just doesn't seem iconic to me, he looks like a generic soldier. 4. Also I am struggling with defining the material of the clothes. I know that there are a lot of things but I would really appreciate it if you took the time to help me. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to help me out.

Character Critique - Gatecrasher
Hello all. This is my design for a minotaur slave, called a Gatecrasher, forced to fight and mutated by a highly volatile crystal strapped to his body (a variation of peridot, the supposed crystal of intensity). I'd love to get it critiqued. Perspective is one of my weaker areas, so I made efforts to work foreshortening into the pose, but if you notice anything off, then I'd love (and hate) to hear about it. I've also attached a study of the character to show you his full body, though I did make some changes to the design in the final.

Prop / housing designs
Hi people! I want to add some props to my portfolio, so I created a brief for myself, namely "A culture living in a harsh, cold environment, with very limited resources, where enormous remains of whale like creatures scatter the landscape. They use these as basis for their housing as well as "worship" them to some degree, as the bones provide shelter and resources for tools and so on." These sketches are still rather rough, but I wanted to get the overall designs down first, before going into more detail. Any suggestions, advice, feedback and ideas appreciated! Thanks and happy drawing :)

Say hello to the crew and what I like to do.
Hello, I am going to present you some of my works, drawings and scribbles. I love conceptual graphics, character design, creatures and monsters for games, and movies. The amazing world of new worlds and life formation. I want to develop in what I do, currently I try a lot to sketch mannequins / people in different positions, and I try to work on the perspective and camera shots. When I look at my work, I have the feeling of not having full 3D. Write what you think, a few words can give you a kick to act. More of my current drawings / sketches on my instagram profile. Regards.

Castle Concept Art
Hello everyone, I was looking for some feedback on the design of this castle. So the story goes like this, There was a very evil and wealthy king who had a huge castle in the mountains where the winter never ends. In a huge battle he lost all his money and his castle was destroyed. Does the design portray the description? Thank you to anyone who takes the time to help me out.

Some silhouettes
Hello! How are u guys? I spent a lot of time wondering how to work silhouettes. I researched a lot (very much...), watched more than 10 videos about silhouettes, shapes and etc and I still have some doubts, one of them is about shapes: How do I use shapes in more realistic characters? Because I only find the use of geometric shapes in Disney/Pixar-style characters... A second question would be: how to draw silhouettes, if I need to make them very clear right from the start, how should I make their composition... (That's a lot of question...) And also the third question: I don't intend to work with animation for now, only illustrations and character design. How should I work? I'll leave the silhouettes I made today below. The initials are pretty ugly because I was warming up, but I soon started making gestural silhouettes (I can't work anatomically with that, it's no use...), and also a concept I'm making of a harpy inspired by the Brazilian Harpy I'm looking for you answers ;))

I was working on this critique- but the post seemed to have disappeared! So I'm sharing in hopes it could help in general. The main focus here being exaggerating a theme and allowing reference to enhance the design process!

Character Design n Silhouettes
Bytaz
Hello! I have been working on a webcomic project for a while and I finally got the chance on working on some character designs for minor characters. I worked on those first so I could find a way to make the main characters stick out from the ones I posted. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone could reply with some helpful feedback and tips on handling character designs and silhouettes... Thank you very much!
