hey everybody, I've set on a journey to create my own manga, and I need advice from everybody from every platform, so I'm 1/3 away from drawing every character in the manga, I don't have a name for my manga, and I need to have a good plot characters(so far); Akira Kibo Marvin Ichikawa Emma Himari so the characters are in the year 2031, and almost all the populous all have powers, the 10% have a form of "chakra" from Naruto, but it's different. so does anybody have concept designs for the characters setting? if so, send it to me at s27mlegassie@students.gwusd.org or on proko.com, I also need a character that's half Arabian Japanese that has a power called "genie" genie grants 5-8 wishes a day, the user can wish for whatever they want (if awakened, user can have infinite wishes) , if they past their limit, they can be paralyzed, the character needs to have no hijab, representing freedom. let me know if anyone has something in ming

Hey michael legassie, These are cool ideas, and in order to get them across, you must use gesture, anatomy and poses. Think about how the pose can give attitude to your characters. Character design is all about story, and the costume, pose and facial expression tells the story of who the character is. I did a sketch to show you the process of starting with gesture, then anatomy, then costume and details. I hope this helps :)

thank you so much, i've been wanting someone to notice my work for the last 11 years, I'm currently 14, but thank you, I can't say it in words, I've had people not care about my work, but I couldn't stand out, I wanted to be a special person, so thank you!

Hey @Jaren, the foundation looks good, but I recommend "cross hatching", cross hatching is a good starter with pen and ink, you can also do a combination of pen and watercolor/wash. these both can have great potential.

I've made a character design from an AI prompt, and originally it was a shapeshifter, now it's a navajo skinWalker, Hope anyone has tips!

I've been really happy with a 5 point perspective, I'm able to draw things I wouldn't normally draw, but is there anything I can Improve on?

if you are trying to shade, maybe try a paper towel, toilet paper or a Q-tip

Quick tip, if you are struggling on drawing the back, take time for some study, it'll help your drawings, also try to add more mass to the arms, and don't make the back TOO short. happy drawing!

yes, but if you can, make as many as you can, also here are some ideas if you have art block Find a word you don't know in a dictionary and draw what you think they mean before reading the answer. Invent some words and draw what you think they might be. Fill some bags with nouns, verbs, connectors, and so on.

if it's about anatomy, try thinking of the head as a cylinder, if it's about hands, just practice, and if it's about inking, use line language

this is beautiful, but quick tip, if this is watercolor, try to use color pencil and blend those uneven marks.

@Mr. Angel Piedra hey Mr. angel, quick tip, if you want a better head, think of the skull as a oval-ish sphere.
