Level 1 demos are done and it's time to move on to level 2! In this lesson, I show you how I would approach the level 2 CSI project.
Unlike the level 1 project, I found this more easier compare to the boots. I will noted that I made sure to not get distracted with the skeleton details of the neck. Thought, I will say that I had to readjust the proportions of both of the subjects, just so it matches the lengths of the images, being the legs of the Camel, and the jaw of the head for the skeleton.
My drawings before demo. Still working on holding pencil properly, line quality, and using whole arm.
I am more into realism drawing, so from time to time, I'm making these kind of projects to have some fun.
I struggled a lot more with the skull. I definitely didn’t simplify it enough. I tried, but I’m still having a hard time visualizing the forms. Even so, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.
The camel was much easier to simplify, and I had a lot of fun with it. I’ll definitely keep working on my simplification skills.
Definitely struggled with the camel’s mouth, it’s kinda off but I really enjoyed this one! I found it easy, definitely easier than the boots. As for the skull, it was fun! It’s not completely accurate but I left it as is because the lines feel ok to me. Ironically I struggled most with the cap 😅
skull was drawn pre-demo and I realized I needed to focus on stronger lines. camel was drawn post-demo and it's giving brachiosaurus

Excellent work! These are beautiful simplifications, I love what you did with the pony and fawn. Great balance of straights and curves!

I sure did not understand the Befores, but did my best.
The Afters, I tried to listen to your instructions to simplify and use CSI lines.

I tried to do the captain skull. There are some lines I thought looked nice but I still feel like my lines are too messy. I don’t know how to fix that. Anyone got any advice?
it’s still a bit hard for me to get the right measurements but I try to just focus on the line quality for now .. these exercises r really fun to do
