Round two. The second drawings I really tried to simplify the forms more and to use as few lines as possible.

It is difficult to quiet the perfectionist thoughts! This time I did a rough drawing of the shape beforehand to help loosen up and get a general understanding of where each section will be. Trying to let go of the desire for it to be proportionally perfect :) This might be a dumb question - is there a "right way" to hold the pencil? Im trying to not draw from my fingers so I have been drawing with a different grip which sometimes gives me nice lines and sometimes doesn't. Not sure if it's my grip, lack of support for my arm because of the way I have been sitting, etc. Any advice/feedback is appreciated! Thanks! (FYI this is before watching the demo)

This time I struggled with the proportions of the drawing. Although I erased a lot, I tried to make sure the lines were drawn correctly. I'm still going!

I need to do the Camel again I didn’t do it again after watching the demo. I’ll admit this time with the school I followed along with the demo, but it really allowed me to watch an attempt to practice strokes. It helped so much being able to watch your movements. I plan on trying the Camel again (and honestly the shoes cause the laces really gave me trouble).

I thought I had confident lines until I did this! I started out with the boots and realized after that for confident looking lines I have to change my ‘envelope’ brush because it gets wobbly when I try to add pressure. After I did everything but the skull I watched all the demos but the skull & also realized I was breaking my lines up too much. what I learned: different brush per purpose follow the line through the form Finding the rhythms helps to find contour/proportions (especially on the boots & camel) try not to break up lines

These were after watching the demo. The shoes were still tricky but I definitely found them a lot easier! Any feedback would be really appreciated!

Camel is with demo. I submitted my before demo camels on the other page, but they were all really hard. and I didn't manage to do it well on my own. The first skull is before the demo and the second is with the demo.

I had fun drawing on level 2. It’s a great exercise for improving your lines, and I’m already seeing the results in my drawings. However, I still find it difficult to leave out some details and simplify more, so I’ll keep practicing ;)
