Challenge yourself to draw every day for 2 weeks! See if you can get into the routine of drawing daily. Set aside a time and put it in your calendar. If you're already drawing every day, then do something to challenge yourself just a little more. Draw a bit longer, but don't go too crazy. Set a manageable goal, because this is in addition to the other project I’ll be giving you later. Everyday fill up one page with linear drawings from life. You can either go outside and draw something when inspiration hits, or find something at home and draw it. Take a photo of your objects if you can. Start by just looking at your subject for 1 minute. Imagine it as a drawing. Draw a few lines, then look, think, execute. Repeat till you're done. Each drawing can take 5-30 minutes, but don’t time them. I'll be drawing along with you guys and posting in the discussion below.

So I have been working through the 2 weeks. I tried to continue simplifying my drawing objects. I couldn't draw all day, but most of them. I also noticed that I love drawing animals more :). That is why I have shifted my focus there.

Week 1 of sketches from life. I haven't done nearly enough drawing from life, so this is an interesting challenge. There is an abundance of room for improvement for sure. It especially strikes me how very stiff some of these drawings look, and the darker contours make them look even stiffer and cartoonier, even though my intention was just to better define my lighter initial sketches. I will make an effort to be looser with the next ones.

I went with ink on this challenge. Nice to get a few minutes for myself just drawing each night, even if it's late and I'm dead tired :-)

Good use of "flow lines" (don't know if that's the right term) to make each part flow into one another (there's even bits where it looks like it's wrapping around the form). Also, nice use of a main flow line to indicate the direction of the pose. If I may, I'm not an expert, but if this can help, an information you can add to your sketches is more line weight on portions of the pose where more tension and weight is applied on the body. This element (and so much more) was shown by artist Mike Matessi with his "force" technique, where you sketch a gesture fast while conveying information about the pose like weight, balance, structure of the body and some more points that escape me for the moment. That being said, you did very good!

Day 13 - Trying to get more in the sketching mindset. I always want to be really analytical about what I'm drawing and get all the proportions perfect and just feeling things out with a sketch is hard to do. I tried to focus less on perfectly placing every pan and pencil and tried to exaggerate a bit to in certain places. I then worked a bit on playing with the line weight to suggest the direction the pens and pencils are leaning.

Good use of pen pressure to show what is further and what is closer. And I admire your patience for sketching every pens and pencils (it's something I have to work on).

Day 12 - I wanted to try several quicker sketches today rather than putting 30+ minutes into one to try and work on capturing an object more instinctively rather than very slowly working my way towards it by examining, drawing, erasing, repeat and maybe get used to making decisions about where to simplify more intuitively.
