My submission for the ginger root people has very wobbly lines, but I recently had shoulder replacement surgery on my dominant right arm, so I'm having a difficult time drawing with my arm.

Let's review your Cross Contour on Organic Forms submissions. I'll be focusing on ginger blobs and animals for this one, and I'll cover your ginger root people next week.

Cuties. Great job.
Marina Pallares
Awsome! I haven’t get to that lesson. But I can see the structure behind the animals, they feel well proportioned, and the use of the line seems interesting. Congrats 🥳
Johannah Howell
great little animals! Now I want to try some for my daily drawing! Thanks for la inspiración !

It’s so hard to imagine the surface change. Also to know where the lines should be.

If it’s hard, do it on a few Pokémon images first. That is much easier

Here are my attempts post demo and post critique. I went back to the snail reference from the lines chapter and did the cross contour :D

Wow, they look great - very vivid and real!
Melanie Scearce
Nice! You did a great job simplifying and applying the cross contours.
Chauncey Holder
I The critique helped me, and I thought I should start pushing my shapes a little bit more and explore more
Stefan Sharkov
Some more sea creatures. I tend to stiffen up when I draw darker lines which cause my edges to lose their gesture. I still need to practice imagining the 3D shape before I apply my cross contours, but overall I am happy with the result.

Why are there no subtitles?

Welll I’m back from my drawing block I’m kind of disappointed in my self I hate when I stop drawing for a long period of time. Anyway back to the grind pray I dont let my anxiety get the best of me again

We all take breaks. It’s fine. Drawing isn’t a race.

My second attempt at this project. Focusing a bit more on the underlying forms has helped me put down better looking lines in my opinion, and they look more 3D. Will definitely keep practicing this as I always struggle quite a bit with forms and volume.
Melanie Scearce
You're improving! Keep it up. What is that terrifying creature? 😮

Thanks for critique. I will now focus more on my line quality.I draw in my arm chair leaning back a bit. With a table easel on my home made armchair table. I have an illness and this setup make it possible for me to craft. But due to the armchair it limmits my shoulder movement abit and make it harder to draw with the shoulder. Do you have any advice on that? I hoped no one would notice 😅 probably just keep on doing it even if it feels a bit uncomfortable.
Aljoscha Adam
Thanks for the critique Stan, that solved some issues for me :) As far as pronouncing my name, you did a good job only that the "jo" in Aljoscha is pronounced like in "yolk" not like in "Josh" or something :D
Jyayasi (*Jay-o-she*)
Thanks for the critique. Yours and Patrick’s suggestions helped solve my confusion. Glad that you liked the biker turtle :)
