Did another attempt while watching this one. Kinda oddly both off and on - parts (his body, the height of his eyes) are way way off, others are close. Oops XD

@Stan Prokopenko Would you mind telling what kind of wood your drawing board is made out of ? And did you get it custom made or did a shop sell it like that ?

Thank you Stan! Your critiques help me a lot! This time I tried to measure the big shapes, and eyeballing the rest details. And I feel more free and calm in these two new practices.(Also quicker then before) Thank you for taking my nerves away. Btw I used a Transparent ruler instead of a pencil to measure this time.

I've switched to using a transparent ruler too and doing a lot of math. I'm hoping not to need to do that forever as I like art because I don't want to do math!!

Thank you so much Stan! Your critiques are very encouraging. Yes, we should be okay with frustration and struggle - what’s there to lose? Developing a visual library, like you say - I find that a beautiful metaphor. To fill those shelves with all kinds of different subjects, some more difficult maybe, that takes time. So I can be fine with that. I’ll probably will take a walk too, now and then. And enjoy it 😄

Thanx so much for the feedbacks. You pointed out things I didn't even realised I was doing and how much it was taking me off course! The whole hour was very useful. Cheers!

ooh yeah, that looks like a great desktop solution! I thrifted a drawing desk that was pretty decent but the size of the thing really became a bit of a room-hog in my office so I had to find a smaller solution.

Thank you Stan for the useful suggestions. Sometimes I get lost in the details and do not simplify the shapes

Thanks Stan. What's the board you're using called? Is it available at art or hardware stores?
