Thank you for singing this review :D making us feel at home. Yes we do.
So good to see all the brilliant work of the other students again and hear your comments, packed with information about books, movies and successful creative people. We can learn so much from it how one could look at art in various ways.
What I also took away from seeing all of this in this vid is a motivation to try to work more meticulously and at the same time dream further away into imagination, then come back to ’make it exist’ (thank you Lin, that was your quote).
LESSON NOTES
What's in Premium?
In this premium review, I look at student work to show you how to apply measuring methods in perspective. We tackle common problems like wide-angle distortion and managing distant vanishing points. I explain why your ellipses might look wrong and how to adjust them based on foreshortening. We also look at the balance between messy freehand sketching and precise instrumental drawing. You will learn how to break down complex structures, like stairways and multi-level rooms, into simple steps. If you want to stop guessing and gain real control over the perspective in your environments, this review gives you the practical problem-solving skills you need.

Don't know if its just me but the subtitles aren't working :(
I didn't know that about Stanley Kubrick. Thank you for that ending bit, I've been struggling with that all year.
Thanks again for the kind words Marshall, and the words of wisdom throughout this video! I see I’ll need to practice my ellipses and my singing….since I am tone deaf in both 😱
Thanks ever so muich on these fun Crituqes as always Marshall. I highly love hearing ya sing as well in the videos Marshell ya need to more of it plz. I finally know learned on how to put measuring different methods into my perspective work on my dream studio and future projects in upcoming section 3 now were entering as well. Looking forward to it. I got puzzled a bit during the assignment but now after watching this crituque though I think I have a bit better understanding on how to achive such planning now. Looking forward to the upcoming sections with working on elipsies. Got a feeling its gonna be such as fun as working with cubes got this round.
Funny how you use a cook analogy on my critique because I actually work as a Linecook in real life lol. And while I personally don't care about the messyness of my station, my managers sure do XD
Marshall
Thanks for sharing the critiques.
I am for sure out of my depth when I consider my
basic follow along contribution against the many impressive
drawings to learn from here.
As for the singing, thanks for the subtitles.
They are great and worked well.
T h a n k s again

Thank you, Marshall. I am glad my first attempt at (accidental) composition was not a total disaster. 😅 Now I’m curious what your enneagram myers Briggs thingy is.
It is content like this that always makes my day. Marshall, your humour and willingness to be silly will always be appreciated!
Now, for us it is time to mentally prepare for the hundreds of ellipses I'm sure you'll have us do. See you next lesson. 🎨
