We are tackling interior environments and applying measuring systems to walls and floors. You will learn how to divide a wall into exact thirds using the triangle method to accurately place a door. I will also show you how to use a measuring line and a special vanishing point to create seven equal divisions on a foreshortened wall. Let's apply measuring systems to an interior environment. We will use diagonals and vanishing points to accurately place objects in a room.
This was highly a fun Demo to watch of thus far Marshall. I was highly impressed with the part where found the placement of the grid on the floor to mark where the table will go. then slowly built it up using upward points to come from 2D to 3D model looking of a table. Felt like a magic trick of perspective I was watching being unfolded. It was highly impressive to watch. Plannin on giving this excercise myself a try soon n see if I can manage it.
Would there be any lessons on shadows in perspective, placing figures in perspective, or the composition behind perspective? I'm assuming in lesson 21 "Beyond Perspective"
Whenever I've been drawing anything in perspective my first step was to begin with the closest corner to the viewer, however seeing Marshall begin with the farther corner has blown my mind. It never occurred to me that was a possibility... 🤯
