LESSON NOTES

What's in Premium?

Diagonal extensions work well for repeating the exact same shape into the distance. But they fall short when you need to alternate different measurements or leave specific spaces between objects. In this lesson, I show you how to solve this using diagonal vanishing points.

You will learn how to find the vanishing point for parallel diagonal lines and use it to project alternating dimensions accurately in perspective. I also explain how to keep your vanishing points on the page by trimming units. You will see how to transfer these measurements between perpendicular planes, like from the ground to a wall. This technique gives you precise control over spacing and proportion in your drawings.
