Here's my homework assignment from this section of the course. I really struggled with this more than I thought I would. I've been having a hard time keeping everything in perspective. I probably need more practice with perspective grids because I can't really wrap my head around drawing things in a 3D space and everything I draw appears very flat to me.
I had initially started this assignment on paper but I was struggling and decided to do some digital trace overs and then attempted to re-draw them based off the observations I made. If anyone can explain how to mirror limbs to the opposite side in perspective, that has been giving me a really hard time.
I appreciate any feedback these get and I am definitely going to continue to try and share more of my assignments in the future!

I bought Marshall's 12 set course online. I choose to download the videos. First, he’s right. He is a stud, although even better with age. Secondly, I was going to give out a bit about the ultra light content of this course as value for price paid UNTIL I opened Marshall's first video. Excellent! Full-featured teaching about perspective and form. For everything too light, especially "The Bean" section, this more than makes up for it! Perhaps perspective in Figure Drawing isn’t such a relative topic but, the sheer value of knowing perspective from a classroom standard is worth A LOT, and is a blessing, which I would never have known about had it not been for this course. So, very happy.
please I need some critiques on this, I wasn’t sure if to use cubes for the legs or cylinders. And on my previous posts thanks.:)
Hello, Would it be possible to get more than one example from the instructor?
My animal decomposition into simple shapes.
Might have gone a bit too simple on the dormouse and too complex on the cat.
here is a bear that I drew, as one of the first structure drawings Ive done. I tried to build off of the gesture of that I drew. Any critique is welcome!
Some constructions after watching the critique video, I think I'm getting the hang of it but sometimes I struggle about knowing when to use a round shape or a box to simplify the forms and connecting them together in a cohesive way, any feedback is appreciated!
I scribbling along while watching, it's warmups I realized I miss doing. Relaxing.
Working on giving the animals some more structure. Should I make them more box shaped?
Here are my attempts on structure. The Shark was particularly difficult! Any feedback appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I'm really not sure about how I interpeted the photo's in some of these. Especially the wolf is meh, since I struggled seeing the space due to the fur. Some feedback would be nice!
I have a question: When simplifying anything, is there a 'correct' way to interpret the shapes found in the subject? Like for example, I might see a half-circle in the subject's head, but another person might interpret it as a cut-off box. Would both interpretations in that case be considered 'correct,' or would one of them be considered the appropriate shape to be put into the drawing?
Thanks!
The advantage of boxes is that they are the first phase. The circles or semicircles would come later. The boxes have straight lines and help build good perspective.
