Referenced a David Finch piece from one of his recent livestreams. Followed his whole process building up the piece from a simple line drawing, then adding line weight, and shadow in pencil. I wanted to experiment with his rendering style a bit so I inked and colored it in Procreate. His original post from after the livestream is included.

i love trucks - i constructed a generic semi with saddle.
I don't love tanks too much tho. They are way too present these days for my taste. May they all rust in peace soon.

Here are my attempts on structure. The Shark was particularly difficult! Any feedback appreciated. Thanks in advance.
This was fun! The way I approached this, was to pause the vid, have a go, and then see how Stan did it. That's why there are some corrections here and there. I feel my lines are starting to flow better (still getting used to the overhand grip,) which makes the process much more enjoyable :)

I know all these look like a bunch of crappy gesture drawings, and that's because they are, lol. Drawing at speed is something I really need to improve on. Can only get better, I guess.

@Gannon Beck 's earlier post had me panicked that I'd already forgotten how to do figure drawings, so I tried some for today's warmup. 1min x 2, 2min, 5min - Pretty meh and definitely felt rushed after not having used the timer in a week(felt like a month). Fun to try and do gesture drawings regardless.

I had another go at drawing him, trying to make him look more dynamic. A little better I think, although he still looks like he has no neck. Koala's are harder to draw than I thought :)

I chose to do a skydiving Koala, for the 'From imagination sketch' project.

Did manipulations such as bending, rounding and twisting of the boxes in order to increase the difficulty and allow me to add better gesture.
There where occasions where I could see the left side of a finger segment and at the other end the right side, so I added twisting. I know fingers don't twist unless an external force is applied but I did end up liking how the twisting does add more energy to the fingers.

Here are my pre demo attempts. To be honest, I've spent so many years drawing from my wrist, I'm finding it hard getting used to drawing from my shoulder. I tried to keep each sketch under 10 mins (robot took about 35 mins,) to try and stop myself drawing every little detail. Although there are some mistakes (the thumb being to large is one,) I'm pretty happy how they turned out.

Superman draw along #Frank Cho3mo
Hi there, I did this drawing following along with Frank Cho. The video finished before it got to the rendering phase, so I kind of made it up from imagination. Just wondering if anyone who knows comic rendering, could point out my mistakes, please? Would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I actually enjoyed drawing the boots second time round, after being reminded to keep things simple :)
