I can feel the tension in the air how everybody is anticipating the assignment, just to post their colored and rendered versions. Merry Christmas, y'all!
LESSON NOTES

What's in Premium?

Let's jump into rendering. I'll take our sketch and walk you through my process for creating a final concept. You'll see how I clean up line work, tackle complex shapes like hair, and define all the details. I'll show you how to use Overlay and Multiply layers to add warmth and shadow without losing control of your saturation. We'll focus on keeping the design readable for a 3D modeler while building a polished portfolio piece.

The rendering stage is about building form, not just adding detail. Stay in a desaturated middle ground to keep your options open. This lets you slowly build contrast and add color where it matters most. Balance busy sections with simple rest areas to guide the eye and keep the design from feeling cluttered.

Does anyone have any tips on taming the DG_Main brush in Procreate? It doesn’t seem to work the same as in photoshop… struggling with drawing a quick loose thin line then adding pressure to make it thicker. Thanks!

Delete it and redownload it again. I am attaching a gif of what I see in my Procreate. Building opacity using DG_Main and I uploaded screenshots of what the brush settings look like:

Haha, yeah the rendering stage is so heavy duty and involved it's taken a good number of lessons to go through. But we're almost there!!
