what I most like about your poses: they are dynamic and not stiff.

Hi all! I'll be grateful for critique. I attempt the poses before watching the examples, and try to figure out the mannequinazation for myself first. I think the limited knowledge of anatomy holds me back: in examples, Stan often draws muscles of the torso and I always feel a bit lost when he does that since witholut knowledge about muscles it's really hard to identify and simplify them. But maybe I'm missing something> Also I'd be grateful for assessment of my proportions - I know sometimes it's hard to see proportional flaws in your own drawings. And any advice is very welcome ;)

Overall, You are in the right track. I Especially like the 3rd drawing on the first row, and i think you nailed it in terms of the perception of 3d form and proper shapes you used. if you're having trouble with anatomy i suggest you revisit prokos video on landmarks and make notes and drawings on musculature. Then have these notes/drawings right beside you when you're making mannequinzation sketches. this method has really helped me a lot and i highly recommend it

Tried the assignments and I feel I got them wrong I keep getting the angles of the forms wrong (mainly the pelvis ) and I don't know why I check the landmarks yet any time I look at prokos I'm always off is that normal will it affect how my drawings in the anatomy/shading stage much or am I overthinking? This has been bothering me for a while so any and all criticism or advice would be greatly appreciated

Hey Josh, it's quite difficult to see in your drawings. Maybe use the flash on your camera next time. It terms of landmarks don't be afraid being a little off as long as you identify the the protruding bone is the asis of the pelvis etc. You'll be fine. Everyone's drawing a different.

Hey! Great start, Marco! As this is your first post, so it is mine! I wanted it to try this. So, why don't I start with quick feedback! I love what Stan and you guys are doing here, so I'm really flattered to be part of it. So without any further to announce, let see if I can help you with that. You are doing great! Try to get more clarity on your volumes. Basically, what you need to use here are cylinders, boxes, and of course, some overlaps. So my advice for you would be, take your time to get those volumes clear. Are they coming towards us? Are they going away? What's in front and what's in the back? If you translate those 3D volumes to the 2D surfaces correctly, this mannequin you are doing will look more convincing. I hope this helps a little bit. :) <3

These are gesture drawings I did in the last 3 or 4 days from the AARON and CHANON model packs. I'm really enjoying the new models

I found it difficult to focus on gesture and structure, to find the balance between be loose and gestural and more accurate proportions with construction. as @Liandro Roger mentioned i focused on cleaner lines. What do you guys think? where I have to focus most? Are I'm prepared to continue with the course?

@James Mayr I just commented on your other post and I think this set of drawings looks even better. Forms look good, the proportions are fine and I don't find any issues with gesture. I think any other improvements regarding what you've studied so far should come naturally over time as you progress. I'd say you're just about right for this mannequinization lesson and you should certainly move on with the course if you feel you're ready.
