This was definitely a harder one with no narration, direction or reference but it still was fun and I learnt something my only question is was the propellers at a different vanishing point up top?

Tough to follow this one along without any commentary and also with no photo of what we are drawing, but still a fun sketch. Need more practice with the brush pen!

Hello Edsun, thanks so much for submitting your assignment! I hope you managed to learn something from the lesson, keep going! This is a great attempt; I would say definitely try to be conscious about where all your lines are converging towards. There are a few inconsistencies here and there that make the structure of your helicopter feel a bit wobbly. I'd even suggest: try drawing boxes and basic shapes first with a pencil or light pen before marking in with your brush pen! I've pointed out some inconsistencies in where your lines are converging here in this drawover. Another exercise that really helps getting used to drawing perspective is drawing cubes, freehand. If you draw 5 cubes every day, and really try to make them even and accurate, you will gain incredible mileage in drawing things like this! Thanks again, looking forward to seeing your progress!

The paper of the sketchbook I'm using for this course ist definitely not made for smudging of any kind.. I tried ballpoint pen, ink, graphite and charcoal. Nothing really smudges 🤷 But here is my result, anyway: @Rembert Montald how do you judge, if the perspective is correct, when details go against the grid you established? For example the windows in your demo do explicitly not follow the grid. Do you imagine another vanishing point for those?
