Hey everyone! I wanted to make a fun Halloween challenge this year!
Letβs get spooky and creative! The challenge is simple:
β‘οΈ Draw anything Halloween-themed!
That could be:
β’ Your OC in a costume π§
β’ A creepy or cozy scene π―οΈ
β’ A haunted house, monster, fanart, or even a figure study with spooky vibes π¨
You can use any medium like digital, traditional, markers, paints, whatever your favorite is!
πΈοΈ Bonus points for color, inking, or anything that shows you put in that extra effort!
ποΈ Start posting the week of Halloween (Oct 26th and deadline is Oct 31st!)

To get more experience with charcoal, I did a skull study based on a 3D render in Blender. I've done a better study of this skull, but I've been criminally derelict in my drawing practice lately. There's a lot of invention in the teeth, because I was hurrying to get this in before the end of Halloween.

Here is my monstorous drawing: The Empusa. A shape shifting demonic phantom from ancient greek mythology. The Empusa was commanded by the goddess of witchcraft Hecate, had one leg made of copper, and was said to seduce and feed on young men. Yikes!
Wow! I really like this! I wouldnt wanna be near her cause I fit the description lmao!

This is my small attempt on drawing pumpkins with a character and I really feel so much more freedom with modifying shapes thanks to the prokoβs lessons!
He should be called The Punkin', and his alter ego would be mild mannered newspaper obituary writer Jack O' Lanton. Nice job.
I wish I was that productive when insomnia hits me! I really like the line variety in this one. And, of course, the pumpkin! :)

My submission! She's a Swamp Witch, "Kikimora." I challenged myself with a medium that I picked up recently, block printing. I love the craftsmanship involved and it's a fun way of thinking while designing. I'm thinking about going in later once it's dried and doing a watercolor wash, but wanted to get this submitted in time. Happy Halloween everyone πππ

Here is my submission! Since I'm currently working through the gestural perspective lesson in the Drawing Basics Course, I decided to expand on the lesson and draw a spooky, swamp treehouse!

I decided to draw my OC Eva in a Halloween costume. I did a rough sketch to test the pose before hand (right image). I tried to use the lessons I learned in the drawing basics and figure drawing fundamentals for this personal project. π» π π€‘ π§ββοΈ

The dice is a cool idea! I like how you varied the line weight.
Love the composition of this. It's impressive how you were able to incorporate all of the dice details in your work, and it came out very cohesive, like a scene from a movie! Great work!
