These are my attempts the second time through. I haven’t posted the first. The first time I drew what felt natural, this time focusing on the support leg. Also, the line quality is awful because I had to trace my gesture for it to show up on camera.
I had to darken the lines so they'd show up in the picture :/
But I think I'm getting the concept :)
Lessons1 primary action line charcoal pencil (medium)
it looks a bit messy, for the size of my sketch book isn't big. sorry for that.
2024/9/5. Hi Brent, hi everybody! Here’s my assignment for this section. Thanks for any comment or critique. Have nice day!
Here are my submissions. I feel like I may have over done this.
No. 16's line of action could be observed from the model's body but I apparently went with a simpler line.
Using a Caran d'ache Technalo 3B 779 on a standard 4A printer paper.
Lesson 1. Primary Action Line. Plain Paper Sketchbook A4 Size, HB mechanical pencil.
Went through the practice reel twice. Comparing to the images I can see how some of my lines are still stiff and I can push the exaggeration more, especially when the endpoints are further away where I tend to be too conservative. My instincts were pretty similar both times so I'd like to go through again and try to pick out different action lines that may not necessarily be my first obvious choice
