This is a great exercise! One of my favorite pieces at the moment, any comment would be apprecciated :))
Hey @Art Stark, The ear on numbers 10 & 11 are a bit on the small side. The ones on 12 and 14 are getting a bit big and 14 and 15 are pretty spot on! The way to keep your ears from going to big or too small is by getting your rule of thirds (the Andrew Loomis method) right first and then constructing your ears from there. Your facial features are looking dynamic! I'd try and see them as boxes as well though, as some of them are looking a bit flat. Really looking for that three dimentionality. Good work!

hello i'm new here and i did the pear but i dont know if this is good. I think its to dark. I am awful at shading so i did my best. Would love some feedback.
Hello, nice attempt! It seems like you didn't think of the planes much. Your values look solid but I'd try the excercise again keeping your value control the same yet focusing on the change in plane now.

Here is my hippo :D. So I first tried to be very blocky (left images) then I moved on into the top right, more organic shapes I guess, then I just went for a mini sketch (bottom right). I will try to play with shapes and then move on into the other animals.

Here's some Mario Mushroom. Still need to work on the pencil control.
Circling ( Ellipsing) and lifting and laying the pencil down on demand, is tricky.
It's an interesting warmup. I need to relax more, I began to feel it on my wrist after many pages. Now I'm more familiar, I think I's do less and focus more.
Remember these are just warmups, you don't have to obsses over these. Over time you'll get the hang of it. Stan also mentioned doing them in different angles and sizes so be sure to work on those too. Great work and keep going!

Still playing with shapes here; trying to give the animal more character, cuteness by exaggerating size of feet, eyes etc.
Generally speaking shapes with pointy edges make us feel uneasy, like they're sharp. Could try rounding out the ducks and owls feet to give more of a friendly feel :)

Hello everyone! The left snail is my first attempt at the project completely on my own and the second is after watching the Demo. I tried being more confident in the second one and to let go of perfeccionism. Any feedback is welcome!

Hello everyone! Here are my attempts at the pear! Left is my first attempt on my own and right is me following the demo. Any feedback is welcome :))
Big thing I do for shading areas in Photoshop is to use the laso and polygonal laso tool and then filling it with the bucket tool to get the value. Polygonal lasso would be especially helpful for this exercises as it would help create clear shapes and sharp edges.

Just started the course, so coming in a bit late. But anyway... here are my pre-demo and post-demo pears (pear1). I think it's much improved after seeing the demo. Any feedback welcome - thanks!
