LESSON NOTES

What's in Premium?

This lesson shows you how to apply depth measuring systems to fix flat or rigid architectural drawings. Yves Yumol demonstrates how to design a building from start to finish using strong convergence and diminution to create massive scale and realistic depth.

You will learn how to accurately project extrusions like windows, pillars, and roof overhangs so they look built rather than painted on. We also cover how to balance strict perspective with organic, weathered details. By adding bevels, broken tiles, and strategic line gaps, you keep your structures from looking like stiff boxes. Finally, you will learn composition techniques to guide the viewer's eye without overworking the drawing.

From the hut (I posted wrongly in the next lesson) I built an extension upward and left the technical mindset for a more loosely design - just because it became too difficult- ; so here’s an impression of a refuge in the jungle, made of bamboo.

Tried following along and enjoyed trying to tune my eye. Still finding it hard to free hand so I used the ruler to tey a get it right. Not sure what happened to my window except a lapse in concentration lol. Thank you!!

Thats a great demo, thanks Yves and Marshall. I watched the demo over two evenings, before vellum perspective preparation and vellum drawing stage, brilliant. :)
