I think the one I did when i following along was ok but when I tried to apply it into practice. They started to look weird and I was hoping to get some feedback because I don’t know what I need to change/improve

I don’t think there’s a reference. I believe it’s based on Stan’s face, just flip this image horizontally.

The nose and the eyes were probably the hardest for me

My honest attempt. I'm not worried so much about the paper or the fact I drew this with a soft rather than a hard charcoal pencil, just getting mileage and watching these demos are gold.

Jawlines are always hard to pull... but i think this time i got them quite right

Hahaha the lips, ears , hairline all just popped in the last five seconds in the video. Anyway, here we go. Had difficulty with the eye on the far side.

Is there a way to get rid of the music? Pretty distracting... :-/
Katey Jensma
@Tekahem you can mute the video by using the volume control on the bottom right :)

On peut parler français, pas de problème. On a second thought, never mind, I don't know how to critique in french. So your assignment... right now Heads are very solid, I see you're trying to vary jaw shapes, very nice. There are some problems: Second head: you wouldn't see the outer cheek from this angle. I fell that you extended too much the chin. Third Head: Pay attention to the shape of the jaw. From this angle you might start to see a little bottom plane or at least the corners of the jaw would be lower. The other heads I think you're exaggerating the bottom third and you're drawing too much front plane. I'ts possible having wide faces and longer chins. But try really getting a grasp on the classic measures or in the future you may find it difficult drawing women for example. Good work, keep drawing, Best Regards

Hi everyone. Here part of my daily assignment. Thanks for any comment or feedback. Have a good day.

Hi Marco, I think this looks pretty good, especially the overall shape of the loomis head. For criticism here, take a look at the nose & nostrils. So the base of the side circle will be where the base of nostrils attach to the face - you've done this. But then the tip of the nose needs to extend a little farther. Here we can wee the nose isn't long enough and is actually only comes down to the midway point on the ear. This is resulting in the nose being super upturned, with the nostril holes being too head on instead of at a better angle. Hope that makes sense and is helpful!

Good construction on this extreme angle! These are hard. Looks like you do what I do and identify the tip of the nose and how it sits over that far side eye? I can't see the reference image but I imagine that is the exact placement of eye and tip of nose. So everything look good except for the nose angles. Give the nose and head tilt a quick recheck for the angles. These head angles are tough (at least for me) and great to practice.
