LESSON NOTES
What's in Premium?
We dive into the The Shape Method for figure drawing, focusing on connecting body parts to understand spatial relationships. You'll learn how to adjust basic shapes to match the model, use overlaps and wrapping lines for depth, and apply S and C curves to draw limbs naturally. We also cover strategies for handling foreshortening by breaking down limbs into parts. This method helps you set up figures quickly and accurately for detailed drawings.

COMMENTS
Revisiting the shape method again after figure drawing and it’s really sticking much better now. Can only recommend to revisit the material every now and again
The more I used the shape method, the more I'm confused. I'm attaching my first attempts, but I'll upload more once I watch the demo. I need some affirmation to understand better what I'm presenting with this method.
is it over? Will there be a new video or was that the last one?
My three common mistakes are 1) too much contour 2) too much detail (relates to first) 3) tend to draw the center line "in the center" even when it clearly is not in the center.
I think I’m starting to understand this method more clearly now. There are mistakes, but following along with the demo has made me more comfortable with how these turned out.
Unsurprisingly, these look much better when I follow along the demo than when I try them myself ;)
