LESSON NOTES
What's in Premium?
Learn an observational approach to drawing the figure by designing each part as a simple shape. In this lesson, we'll break down the figure into basic parts—head, neck, torso, arms, and legs—and then explore techniques for designing the head and neck, modifying shapes to convey different characters and expressions. This method is particularly beneficial if you have some anatomy knowledge and want to get to light and shadow more directly in your figure drawings.

So… I came back to this after the head and figure construction courses. With this gesture method, how do we move to figure construction? Which steps can we skip?
Some grapes on bamboo sticks. For me without planning out the features more this method is actually a little more difficult. I find it hard to rough out the shape without the guidelines. Also any tips on the dreaded looking up at an right or left angle pose would be greatly appreciated.
So the shape method is an alternative gesture that gets to construction much quicker?
