Hard to answer that without seeing what you mean by "corner" as the box will have several corners, edges, and vertices, but I assume you mean the first long line that follows (typically) the general direction of the blog's aspect line.
No need to worry about that. Try it however you like, and remember what this is about: a blob gets you started. When you can see a 3D form that is not yet chiseled, you can then start chiseling as you like, and create proportions as you like. It's a choice.
The blob is to give your imagination something to grip, and then you are into 3D...
