Thanks for your time and impromptu therapy session... all the therapist in my area have some kind of restraining order against me.... can't imagine why. I'll be sure to draw 10 cubes a day as a warmup and just focus on getting the lines to converge... also I'll try not to be so stressed out about it.
LESSON NOTES

What's in Premium?

This lesson trains your freehand skills so you can draw boxes in perspective without relying on rulers. We focus on the most important rule of freehand perspective. You must avoid receding divergence. You will learn how to identify the closest corner of a form and ensure your lines converge correctly as they move away.

We also tackle foreshortening and how to handle awkward angles by making them deliberate. Rotating shapes in your imagination takes time to master. This lesson breaks down how to build that spatial awareness step by step. You will learn to see planes as shapes and estimate proportions accurately. This practice builds the exact foundation you need to draw complex forms in 3D space.

Mastering freehand perspective requires letting go of perfect cubes. Learn to build your spatial imagination by sketching freely while avoiding receding divergence and understanding foreshortening without the anxiety.

Great work everyone! :) @Sandra Salem Awesome work with the ellipses! Gotta try this too! :D @Marshall Vandruff Thank you very much for the insightful critique as always! And I think you'll be surprised how far our hyper-focus can go lol. All hail the cubes! :D

Thank you so much for the critique Marshall! On your personal story - well, I used to be very shy, so I prescribed myself to present a radioprogram at our hospital radio station. Had 2 (live) programs, easy listening and 30’s-40’s music for 1,5 years. I didn’t get over shyness completely, but I survived. And I’m still not very good with words, but as you know sometimes there’s more in silence. As a dancer I wasn’t shy on stage, the moment of performance. To compare ballet training with practicing cubes: I hope somewhere in the future to be able to choreograph and dance, express on paper, what is in my heart. So thank you again for this course :) And what a good place to be within this lovely community, I learn so much from all you geniuses here ❤️
