ASSIGNMENTS
Today, I drew a 3 point perspective grid and then did the assignment on tracing paper over the grid. I will have to put this into a practice regimen as both my ellipses and my cubes need improvement. Last night, I did this digitally with Procreate, but that was like cheating to me. Maybe when I am 80, I will be able to freehand perfect ellipses like what Procreate does. Critiques are welcome. Cheers!
This assignment was trickier than I thought it would be! I will need to practice these more.
I tried for a variety of boxes to get more ellipses. Definitely a challenge to get them right.
Sometimes it feels really awkward trying to hit all points. Not sure if the points are placed wrong or if I just need to be more familiar with the ellipse shape
Yep, freehand is hard, but we will practice more )
good day to everyone !)
Here is my submission:
First time really trying perspective. I think I understand the concept well enough but I still need to work on my penmanship. If anyone has any suggestions for line exercises they would like to share it would be greatly appreciated.
Spent a while on this. Building up the drawing with construction lines, fitting ellipses inside, then checking my work. Excellent exercise that can be used often. Hoping to improve accuracy!
They sure didn't teach it like this in school. I draw eclipses all by vibes so I’ll have to add these to my usual doodling routine.
Eyeballing the 2/3 point on diagonals is probably the hardest part. Sometimes the intuition is off or it just doesn't look right.
