Level 1. Getting better at envisioning the planes and simplifying into boxes. Still struggling with incorporating good rhythm and gesture

Here's three stages, the idea, the draft, and the second draft. I took out the garage because with the rotation I wasn't sure about the angles but maybe it would work seen from behind more as a car port. Anyway, always feel like the line quality needs to be better too.
What's the best first figure drawing course that goes from design, gesture, construction through shading? I'm sure all the courses are good but is one best suited as an intro?

Good practice! I think what can help as you continue is looking for more flow through asymmetry in your drawing. Having asymmetry leads to an ebb-and-flow rhythm that leads from one section into the next, as opposed to symmetry which can make the figure feel more rigid. Looking for a variety of curves against straight lines can also help create a more fluid balance in your drawing. The human body tends to have curves on the opposite side of straight lines, so it's good practice to keep an eye out for it. Hope this helps!

Any observations are welcome. I will definitely do a computer overlay.

I chose Bill Sienkiewicz because I've always liked his chaotic energy. He uses lines a lot for flow, motion, and to create energy chaotic and otherwise. He also tends to use little or no contours preferring shading to define borders except for more static structural elements

I feel a little bit better about the flow and motion in this example though the inside fingers still big me. And I was still a bit hesitant which I think muted some energy
