Struggling with representing the correct plane (e.g top or bottom). @Rachel Dawn Owens, would love to hear any feedback.

Hi Jack!
As far as I can tell, you git the boxes leaning in the right directions. Nice work!
I traced over the models to see how I might draw them if that’s helpful. No big issues though.
The only thing I see that might help is the lines between the boxes could be given more thought. Push this idea of ‘push’ and ‘stretch’ to push these beans to the next level.
You don’t have to make it as extreme as I did in my drawing, but keep in mind that it’s better to push too far than not enough here.
That’s all I got. I hope it’s helpful.
You drew some great robo-beans!
Here is my attempt for this assignment. Robo beans! 🫘
@Rachel Dawn Owens I wasn’t sure if my boxes were a bit too “gestural” meaning like if it’s curving too much. The first four images are referenced to the videos for this assignment. The last image include references and I gave it my best. Would love to hear your feedback. 😅
This is the leanest course, with the least bits of information I could have imagined. Seriously. I am not enjoying it at all. I feel cheated, like YouTube by itself, without spending the money is a much better value. Romanticizing the gesture line, having two sections on making two lumps touching each other and then, the Two Old Muppets in the balcony art judging routine just aren´t worth the purchase price! Maybe I would have been better off with the drawing fundamentals because I expected MORE, more value, more content and, it's just not teaching me anything! I regret buying this course and the only way I can express that is this post AND swearing that I´ll never buy from Proko again. Cost me $145 but, I did learn something, at least that I´m done with Proko.
Hi Ignacio,
I can tell your frustrated, invested your time and money into something you hoped would help. I just want to offer a different perspective, not to change your mind, but maybe to invite a deeper conversation. I have been going through the same course and yeah, gesture, beans, robo beans......its hard lol. I have definitly had moments where I was like "damnnn why is stan gestures, beans, etc look way better??? Why does my attempts look like trash lmao.
The comparisions, the doubts, the fears, all of that set in....but let me remind you...I realized this course isnt about getting something polished right away. Its more like learning a new visual language, piece by piece. We all didnt speak perfect language right away when we were babies....we started saying gibberish but eventually! we started talking, reading, writing to the point where I am here talking to you lol.
I also noticed you have not posted any images of your work yet, which I am curious why. That would have been helpful for the proko team and others to give you constructive criticism. Not to break you down but to build you up. I found that once I started sharing, even if it was messy or awkward, I began to get the kind of feedback that helped unlocked things for me.
So again, I am not here to invalidate your experience, and maybe you won't ever read this, but I hope to anyeone else whos struggling with this....give it one more shot, and see if sharing some of your work changes the experience.
We are all in this grind together Ignacio!

Any criticisms would be extremely appreciated🙏🙏
p.s. I know the lines are SUPER sketchy which may make it a little confusing😅😅
A few from this morning. I would attempt the video examples before stan drew them then correct my mistakes as he drew.
I used more of the gestural torso approach in the top left corner as demonstrated in the drawing basic course.
Will need more practice on showing the oblique and flank fat pinching.
Progress of robo bean - a little too stiff at first, not enough structure next, but I think my last two are getting closer. Critique welcome and requested!
A couple of first attempts at robo bean. Just got caught done doing gestural torsos in the basics course. This is pretty much the same assignment.
the way the skin droops between the pointy aspects of the lower rib and asis makes it feel very believable.
will need to avoid elongating my torsos, bottom two have too much space between the two blocks
Welp... I tried xD Can't say they are amazing though. Feedback would be great! I keep getting the depth of the boxes wrong more than anything I think
Hey all!
here’s some robo beans I did whilst on a lunch break, any criticism would be greatly appreciated!
Well, I tried my best. Rib cage of the figure in frontal view is definitely to wide, but I'm pretty satisfied with the perspective. In my experience, when it comes to establish the two blocks for pelvis and torso, it's easier to first determine the plane closest to the viewer. That is a good starting point to see, how each block is situated in space. It's still hard though ...
these are the 4 poses seen on the video. 1st attempt is observing the model, 2nd is looking at Prokos interpretation and 3rd is once again just looking at the model. Any feedback is greatly appreciated if you go over mine I'll gladly go over yours :)
Here are some robo-beans. I drew them first, then drew them in overlay on the photo to see how close I was.
