Here's my first attempt at mannequinization! Very open to suggestions and feedback on how to improve
@localmare
Definitely had to rely a little on the examples to get through these ones! Some of the poses hide so many useful landmarks... A couple extra poses that aren't necessarily foreshortened exactly, but just a marker of my progress outside of the examples in the video.

Cracking away at the robo bean. Didn't have the time to do all 10, but I got most of them done!

First time working without Stan's examples to guide me through these poses. I can realise how much of a crutch I'd been using them for! I will strive to improve my observation skills, especially in identifying the landmarks and "seeing through" the model. I could probably use a lot of help in improving my boxes though
@localmare
Followed along and applied to a couple poses from LineOfAction.

Gave it a try but didn't happen to get through all the examples in one sitting (Curse you, work!). This time I almost felt distracted by following along with Stan's sketching. Moving forward I'm going to rely on the reference more now that I have a slightly better grip on the landmarks

Slowly getting better! I have a long way to go for anatomy, but it's seriously helping me with my proportions and making the form believable
@localmare
My attempt at the post from the video. I think I need more practice on the box shape for the wrists (radius and ulna) but I look forward to trying this on other poses. Thinking about the muscles and these landmarks in particular really does have a positive effect on my observation and proportion skills in my opinion.

Here are some attempts at poses from Line of Action, in a fresh new sketchbook!
@localmare
Continuing from my beans from the previous examples, here are my attempts at the poses in this video. I am very quickly realising the beauty of being more confident in my lines and not trying to over-correct them. Of course old habits die hard, but it makes the improvement so clear putting an over-corrected bean next to a confident one!
