It's a bit better now I hope. I find that shapes affect the gesture greatly... And it's hard to take a photo that looks good :D

Great job! I'd try to push the gesture even a little bit further and push the gesture in the extremities as well like the legs. better to have too much gesture than too little with this exercise! Keep it up!

Andrew, I finally figured out how to post images! Here are a few of my attempt at the pose in the last video. Took about an hour to do this. No tools, just my hands. I am really enjoying the class.

Hey these are looking great! Definitely capturing the pose and the gesture of a lot of the forms. I would work on smoothing out the outlines as you work, it might be that you’re exaggerating some of the secondary forms or just using clumps of clay that are too large but try to observe the gesture of the outline and focus less on the deviations from that main gesture. Some areas also look too thick compared to others so try to keep things consistent and not add too much too fast in any one area. Keep it up and I look forward to seeing more!

Thanks Joseph, I am enjoying this course :) I know that building the body is not the purpose of this video, but is it possible to have a view from your standpoint? (might be camera at your fronthead?) It would be great to see the size of the clay chunks you're picking up, how you're manipulating them and where your placing them in the body. Keep it up Joseph!

Yes that is something that is tricky to show when sculpting for a camera because it’s easy to forget that the angle I’m seeing is not the angle the camera sees. In the future I may invest in some type of wearable camera for demos but I haven’t been able to do that yet.
