Concept was cozy, fantasy-themed cottage-core. Just wish it hadn't taken more than 20 days...

Woo finally done!
Initial idea was for a fantasy setting with a horned/antler(ed?) character, with the key emotions being alert/shocked/hostile like a wild, cornered dog ready to fight. Ended up liking one of the sketches that looked more witch-y and had a more suspicious/cautious look so I just ran with that
Really loved this course, I learnt a lot :)

Overall I enjoyed this assignment and course. The attempt was a SAD, SCI-FI, DESPAIR character. The attempt was to make a CYBER GOTH looking woman-though I think it's more fantasy than sci-fi. I am certainly not gonna become a master after this course but I do feel confident enough to begin working on a portfolio for concept art.
What I realized throughout the course is that I spend too much time rendering early into the artwork. When really the focus is really ideation, making as many designs with little time. Which is why I believe the ALLA PRIMA method is best used for ideation with tons of references. I still need to practice 'drawing quickly without worrying about detail and render later' psychology but I feel trained enough to know how to improve on my own thanks to this course.
