Had fun with drawing some roosters! I definitely want to do this exercise with more animals. My shape design obviously needs work, but as a beginner, I’m happy with this so far!

A few studies on Disney animator, Glen Keene. I really struggled with imitating his lines. I found myself just trying to copy the shapes without thinking of the line quality… this is difficult!
I think you captured the hierarchy of lines pretty well. Thick lines for the body and faces. Looks good to me. Especially with the hair Glen seems to have the approach that less is more. no contour/shape for the hair with lines, just rhythm/gesture with a few lines. What I found difficult especially with Rapunzel was the difference between his clean lines with one strokes and his searching lines. But you are on the right track with these. Focus on rhythm with the hair and try to imitate his searching lines before attempting another study of his

The most difficult one for me was the hand. I also struggled with being fluid with my hand and arm. I get super tense when I’m focused and my drawings tend to look stiff.

The boots really stressed me out haha I was just fudging lines by the time I was tackling the laces. I commit to my lines too early and I also tend to get impatient with the process and start rushing.

this was my first attempt! I struggled with translating the shadow shapes.
Nice job. Looks like you have clear value separation. From a critique perspective, the two things I notice are your use of curves over straight lines and that your lighter shadow value and darker midtone value are a bit too similar. I think if you lightened both of your light values, it would enhance the distinction.
