I loved this project! I think my favorite is the shape exploration of the owl.

These are fun to look at, too!

Owls are fun to play with. I really like the shapes and caricatures you made with the monkeys. Super cool!

I did a study of a Glen Keane sketch of Ariel, and a study from a sketch from Loish. A really nice strategy for me that I've found is writing any observations I have while I'm drawing to the side of the study, that way I can look back at them AND remember it better by writing it down.

This is a great way to learn! I really enjoy the exploration you were doing on the Glen Keane study and that you redrew the image in your own style. Keep it up!

Writing notes while you’re learning is a good practice! I love the drawings you chose to study here. For Loish especially, it’s helpful to find the rhythms that echo throughout. All the lines are connected. Rhythms give the drawing more life.

Here are the rhinos! I did them in the order listed here, with one having different light source. I noticed that, on the shadow method, the shadows, and the dark lines, were often placed in places I didn't want to bring that much attention to, which made me realize how easily you can direct attention with line weight!

A more Proko-ified version after watching the demo, I'm really happy with how it turned out!

My penguin, VR girl and hand exercises! The proportions on the vr girl got a tad off (ok so a little more than a tad), but I think my line confidence has gone up, though they're still a bit messy.

Hi! Here are my tries. The first 2 are before the demo and the last one was after. I think I did a good job on proportions on the first two and did a better job on lines in the last one.

My attempt one and attempt two at the pears! I can probably work on making my light halftone a bit lighter.
