Jeff says to set specific goals to keep moving forward. At this stage, what are my goals besides learn to draw or improve? I'm floundering here, i cant find the forrest OR the trees, specific daily/ weekly goals might help. The obvious goal is to draw everyday, but Jeff is talking about something more specific & meaningful. I'd like to know what please.

Stan, what am I supposed to be drawing? I'm level 1. Do I do more of the line weight tracing stuff? Or draw from life? Do I draw something with shadow, even though we aren't there yet? Floundering here & not drawing at all because I don't know what to draw. Please help. Thank you

Level 1 Line Weight Assignment & extra credit. In the assignment instructions, Stan, you didn't say anything about doing the medium line weight. My hippo & ape are without it. My pig, however is with medium line weight. Well I tried anyway. I enjoyed this assignment, & found some great poses, so I did extras. Hope I'm in the ballpark. Thank you

Tapered line assignments 1st & 2nd tries. Hope these are dark enough. Lines were more tapered before had to go over them in order for them to show up on camera

I was one that copied Stan's drawing, so this is my final attempt. After demo & studying his drawing, but I did this one from his reference photo. Glad to be done w/ this pear!

I struggled even with the gray scale. I had no real difference between 2b, 4b. Now i settled with two HB tones and two 6B tones. Which pencils do you guys use?

It was stressed to have fun where we can. So, this guy came out of my charcoal pencils this morning. It’s a new medium for me. This pear has just been caught stuffing his face directly from the refrigerator.
