Let me show you how I create characters out of the negative space on my page!

Design ideation sketches built on random shapes. Which ones are you favorites? Can’t seem to decide whether or not I want to draw environments, creatures/characters, armour or even abstract - so I tend to do all and none of it at the same time :D Starting with random shapes was a great way to start exploring new, surprising ideas.

so question: I misinterpreted the assignment and thought we were supposed to do an ideation page with a prompt we pick, rather than just harvestman. Should I just keep going with my prompt or should I start the assignments over? I know there's really no consequence either way but I'm taking this class to improve so whichever way benefits me better.

Hey Scott, thank you for the extensive critiques. I did enjoy the spacemans! :) I guess I took out the most of the suggestion of using negative space on the sheet. Useful tipp, if one gets stuck with the ideation flow! Up to the next critique video :) You are really putting in effort in this course.

Thanks for the critique Scott! The assignment was done using procreate so I can erase and fill but thanks for the advice!

Man, this is a long video, but well worth watching! So much information, it's a miniworkshop in itself! Also love how you can barely hold back and go off playing all the time ("I'm supposed to be giving feedback" while drawing a spaceman :D :D ) - very inspiring! Thanks for putting in the time, Scott!

As a side note, after having watched the whole video: There were plenty more submissions all over the place... as was said, new platform is bound to produce some chaos, but we should probably make sure to have all the submissions collected in one place for upcoming assignments.

Thank-you, thank-you Scott. I greatly appreciate your expertise and commendation. I'll have to take notes on your insights about contrast beyond the visuals, among other things. Eagerly looking forward to progressing with this course!
