LESSON NOTES

What's in Premium?

If you struggle with hands, feet, or faces, this lesson introduces an exercise to help you tackle those specific weak points. Instead of drawing the full figure, you will laser focus on just one body part for one-minute intervals. This frees your brain from overthinking anatomy and helps you get lines down quickly.

Because you aren't drawing the whole body, that single minute gives you extra time to add details like tendons, muscles, and light and shadow. I demonstrate how to use this method to improve your foreshortening and capture the tension of hands interacting with props. You will learn to use your momentum to add detail without slowing down, helping you build speed and confidence in your line work.

Isolating specific body parts helps you get over the fear of drawing hands. Run a one-minute timer and focus only on that single area instead of the whole figure. This frees your brain to draw faster and gives you extra time to add details like shading or muscle tension.
