Doing this exercise myself makes me all the more impressed with Eliza--how does she get so much detail in 5 min!? I do like the foreshortening I got in one of these, but overall I wish I had done more, especially with regards to lighting, what's there feels a bit muddy to me.
LESSON NOTES

What's in Premium?

For this exercise, we’re moving up to five-minute poses. This extra time lets us go larger and add more complexity to the face and muscles. I’ll show you how to define mid-tones and shadows to create a more finished look. I focus on specific interactions, like hands gripping a helmet, and use silhouettes to block things in quickly.

I also cover how to prioritize the most interesting parts of the pose first. You’ll see how to capture expressions and specific details like foreshortened fingers early on to fix anatomy issues before shading. The goal is to capture the character’s emotion and get a solid, detailed drawing that feels complete.

Five minutes gives you the space to capture real expressions. Start with the most interesting parts of the silhouette to lock in the character's vibe. This helps you fix anatomy issues early so you can create a more complete drawing.

I really struggled somehow with the 5 min drawing for quite a while. I think my mistake was to not fully level up with the times. I only made the exercices from 15 sec up to 3 min and then stopped. I tried 5min a few times but never get comfortable and started to correct and loose track of time. But it definitely got better when I do the 5 min exercice in thisfull exerciceup to 15min. the first ones where attemps two weeks ago and the last one is from today.
