How to produce an even wash, and why it can be so important.
Blane Nasveschuk
After simple drawing, felt more fluid laying in the first wash, going from sky to buildings, to dock and then harbor water with boats following a nice “bead”. Might have dropped the buildings down one more value notch to gain more depth and separation from the bright foreground. Really got into the subtlety of the water and could not let this one go until “finished”! Getting the hang of using triads. This was nickel Azo yellow, Quinacridone rose and Phthalo blue.
