Your assignment is to shoot your short film. Start with any final preparation you need to do for your production. Figure out who is going to act for both of your characters and make a schedule so you can get everything done on time. I recommend breaking your screenplay into smaller sections that you can use to better organize your production.
Production
Before you start filming, rehearse the performance with your actors to make sure each take is mostly consistent. Try to be efficient with your time and stick to your schedule.
Prioritize capturing your core story before focusing on perfecting smaller details.
Get one camera angle at a time and try to avoid excessive camera motion.
Give yourself a few seconds of buffer on the bookends of your performance.
Try to keep the eyeflow of your shots consistent.
