Adjustable Armature. The concept here is something akin to a runner crossing the finishing line. If I wanted to exaggerate it a bit more, I think the arms could get outstretched behind the body. Or maybe just one arm is a little further than the other to create more visual interest. Just a thought.
Andrew Joseph Keith
Oh yeah I definitely can see that push of the chest forward running through the finish line. really great gesture studies with the armature! next is adding some clay to it! Keep it up!

Is there a download for Adjustable Armatures??? Also I have been away and I need to catch up. I viewed your Bridgeman video the other day. You were asked questions about Mold Making Techniques. Do you know Robert Tolone You Tube Site which is all about Mold Making. He has covered One & Two Piece Molds, Blanket Molds, Cut Molds, Rotational Molding and how to build your own Rotational Mold Machine that is hand driven. He has a lot of great suggestions how to succeed in Molding and Casting. He has been very helpful to me in my work with figures.

Oh that’s awesome I’ll have to check out that channel. There should just be the video lesson, I don’t think there’s anything else to download for this one.

My NSP Chavant medium clay is SO hard! Is this normal? How do you soften it? I’m trying a lamp but not much change. I read that you an add a small amount of hot water to pieces of clay and let it sit overnight. Please help!
Andrew Joseph Keith
Yes it’s pretty hard out of the block but I like to warm it in the oven at a low temperature like 150 degrees Fahrenheit for a bit. Once you’ve worked it more it becomes softer. You also might like the soft clay if you prefer working on a larger scale or working mostly by hand.
Mark Taylor
I use hard, The way I condition my clay is I use a 6 inch putty knife to cut it into smaller pieces and use a dedicated crock pot on a low temp. It softens it right up and it’s easy to use. Don’t get too hot , It can burn you.
@brandonstudio
it can be microwaved too. Once you handle and mold the stuff, it soon becomes more malleable.
