In this Case Study, I introduce the story of the Curse Tree. This assignment was created for Virginia Living Magazine and is a strong example of a Conceptual Narrative Illustration.

COMMENTS
I love the story and how you depicted them, even though I don't like the general implications of the story it is super powerful. Since I live in Virginia myself, I will definitely go and visit the graveyard and see it once the weather gets warmer. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you @Yigit Cakar - admittedly, I don't like the implications of the story either. It speaks against my own beliefs, but does make for a very strange and spooky story. Please let me know if you get out to Jamestown and find the old church and cemetary! I'm in Richmond, so Jamestown is a short hour away. We've been there often. IF you go- try to approach Jamestown from the Surry side and take the free ferry (for automobiles). It's an amazing 30-45 minute trip on the water and an experience all on it's own. You can also take the ferry back from Jamestown, but it all depends on which direction you are heading. Cheers!
