Interrogation REMAKE (cartoon illustration)
2yr
Liandro
Hey, everybody! I got such helpful feedback that I decided to do a complete makeover of this piece (before, it was like this: https://www.proko.com/community/topics/interrogation-cartoon-illustration-looking-for-feedback) In this new version, I decided to go even more graphic ("comic-style") and drastically reduced the use of colors. Also, I made several adjustments in construction and composition. Many thanks again to @Jo Sheridan, @Matthew Manghi, @Mary Verzosa, @Tiger Gayle-Walker and @Jason Arizona for your precious comments in the first post. Best vibes to you all!

Wow @Liandro this is really powerful now - my goodness it makes me really anxious for the little dog! Loving the sock and the way you have changed how the weight of the guy deforms the table. I think I see the detail in the dark section because I looked at your first version - I wonder how it reads for someone who is looking at it for the first time? - Did you try seeing how this reads if you reduce the contrast between light and dark just a little bit? I think I want to feel less concerned for the dog's wellbeing and more entertained by the fact that he has eaten the shoe...

By the way, I'm calling it finished now and moving on to other projects, but I'd still love to hear general impressions and opinions, so please feel free to sincerely let me know what you think! :)

Very dramatic! I think the updated version is definitely more striking and focused, looks great. For critique, the thing that stuck out for me was the shoe being held up above the dog's head, almost behind it. It seems a bit awkward where having it more in front of the dog's face (a little bit more) would connect the energy a little more between the actors. Alternatively a little bit of mouth froth/flying spit from the guy or the dog rocking back slightly on the chair could accentuate the moment a little more, it feels just slightly 'still.'

Great job @Liandro ! Very funny! I like the style, the composition and your color and graphic choices. An accomplished work in my opinion.

Hey @Liandro ! Nice work, I think the storytelling reads better in this one! I love the flow of the line work more in this version, and the shoe looks clearer here too. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your artworks in the future!
