I did Easy challenges first. Multiply and Screen layer modes were really useful when I created shadow and light areas. I unexpectedly enjoyed this exercise because it was simple but deep as well as the last one. I'm going to do the intermediate challenge next.
Critiques are always welcome.
I've been enjoying the course so far! Color is far more complex than I thought before I started this course.
I feel I don't use the Smudge tool successfully with Finger painting activated. It always makes areas I paint dirty, like the purple part on the upper belly in my picture.
Any Critique is welcomed!

I forgot to do line warmups lately! Thank you for reminding us.
Thank you for making this demo. I found that I still tend to focus my attention on details and use erasers too much. It damages the whole rhythm in the end.

I took up the level 2 challenge since I've studied the Figure Drawing Fundamentals course before, but I don't usually use a charcoal pencil. How difficult it is to draw with charcoal! It was almost impossible for me to control lines with charcoal with a shaking arm! However, I feel I'm getting used to this medium gradually.
Looking at what I did now, I feel they're not as bad as I thought when I was working on them.
Since I couldn't find newsprints around my town, I used printing papers.

I completed the sphere, rectangle, and cylinder for the easy and intermediate challenges. They're simple but hard to paint light and shadow from imagination. I'll tackle the other three shapes over the weekend and then attempt the advanced challenge. The marquee tools were helpful when I created shapes, and I also used some guides on a separate layer to better understand the shapes in 3D space.

I did the remaining three shapes! The last two were surprisingly hard to change the light source.

2023/8/6. Good morning everybody. Here's my latest long drawing (pencils and pure graphite on HULU super smooth paper, 42x29.7 cm).
I couldn't upload a timelapse video on my YouTube channel cause the naked breast. If you want to watch it click the Instagram icon on my profile. Thanks for your critiques and comments. Have a good Sunday!
I thought you did that piece digitally when I glimpsed it, but you drew it with graphite and paper? Wow, it's amazing!

Thank you very much for the critique! The technique for adding more depth to the art is really helpful as well as how to use texture brushes effectively. Managing colors with layer modes and layer effects are very complex. I think I need to practice these functions more.

I analyzed one of Claire Wendling's art pieces last week(https://www.proko.com/s/uRhq) but only a girl part in it. This time I imitated the mammal part(I don't know what species he is) in the same drawing. Again I was amazed by how beautiful the lines Claire drew. I feel I have to do it at least a thousand times more to build up my own skill, haha.

I'm not sure if I simplified these photos into robo beans correctly. I would like to hear some critiques!
It surprised me to see how layer filters changed drawings so much when they were combined together. Thank you for the informative critique!

I studied drawings by Glenn Vilppu(pic 2) and Claire Wendling(pic 4)!

I used HB, 4B, and 6B pencils. I made the outlines around his horn the darkest and thickest to set the focal point on it.
