Asked for help
So this is a picture I did for a friend lately on commission. It kind of represents how far I can push my abilities right now, which isn't that far. Since its my max effort, I was wondering if I could get some feedback on what areas feel like they need to be improved the most. I've gotten some advice from other places but am trying to gather as many thoughts as I can to see what to focus on in the future.

Took me a bit to get around to finishing these projects, but I tried to do everything I could. I mostly used the pen tool I use for digital inking and tried to apply lessons learned from watching these vids along with my own preferences when doing the follow up projects. I never really know how to feel about linework stuff. I like the way I ink stuff but its hard to know if its really working or not.

Did the line exercise. Working digitally so its not really having the same impact, but these would def be useful to do in the future when I try to learn how to draw on paper.

Getting back to this. Wasn't sure exactly how to do this at first but figured out more of what Proko was looking for as I watched the crit vids and demo. I'm trying to be more exploratory with drawing stuff, but its difficult cause my brain often has an 'ideal image' in its head that I wanna create no matter how much doodling I do to explore.

Finally getting back around to this course, gonna try to stick with it this time. I haven't really done much sketching with this exact method before so my results are rough. Included my initial attempts and draw alongs I did with the Proko demos. My main issue right now is I don't get how this works with a pen tool. I have people telling me I need to learn to work in pen where I cannot erase or adjust anything. That is difficult, but working in pen also feels like I can't really do this kind of light sketching approach either. I find the way Stan sketches here to be something that makes a lot of sense, but I don't really get how it works if you are working with a tool that can't make these kind of light lines.

Did drawings of the 4 images, and then a drawing based on Proko's demos. TBH I didn't really get this assignment as I was not sure what details to simplify and what to draw as they appear. I did way more detail compared to Proko but even after watching the demos don't really see what the logic was behind these simplifcations.

Finally making time to go through this course. I am gonna do both the beginner and level 2 projects to practice; I wanted to do the level 1 images traditionally but can't get a comfortable trad drawing setup right now, so these are all digital. I tried doing an initial attempt at both projects on my own, then watched Proko's demos and did a revised version. I tried to include some indicators of my progress as well. The method Proko used for the level 2 one is def not something I am used to doing.

Excited to do this course. I'm an intermediate artist but I exclusively work digitally. I'm hoping this course will help address fundamental issues I've overlooked while also teaching me how to draw traditionally well enough to keep a sketchbook with me. I did this drawing today to test out my tools, and it came out better than I thought but there's a lot of things I would do to improve this digitally that I have no clue how to accomplish on paper. My plan for the course is to do the beginner exercises on paper and then the intermediate ones digitally. Hopefully can refine both mediums that way!

If I'm honest, I really hope you team up with other high profile artists and teachers to do something to stop this. This video showed me that the developers of this technology are either lying or incredibly naïve, and given that they are charging money for these tools its probably the former. The fact that they are selling a program that was built off the copyrighted work of innumerable independent artists and corporations is absurd. This guy basically responds to the issue of the copyrighted work in their dataset by saying it doesn't matter. That somehow, they are not responsible for the data they trawled off the web being full of stuff they had no legal permission to use. He then claims that even if they did remove it, it wouldn't change anything. But that is a lie: if they didn't need it, they wouldn't be using it. Its inexcusable, and the fact that they already did it is no reason we can't hold them accountable. Please team up with other creators to file legal action against them. AI is going to be a big part of the future, but as Steven Zapata pointed out, we do not have to roll over an accept it being done in a way that has zero respect for the people that came before it. AI still has a long way to go before it overtakes the industry completely, so there's still time to at least try to soften the blow and make sure these people who blatantly stole from others are held accountable for it. You've helped me so much with art, and for a few years I genuinely believed art could be my future. I believed it could be the future of so many others as well, and eagerly pointed them to your content so that we could learn and grow together. Now I am pleading with you to do what you can to stop people from stealing the work of others. You have the power to really represent a lot of artists, both big and small. Please do something.

Did some studies based on the examples Proko provided along with some from other sites. Not sure what to do to improve as I feel like I'm going in circles with the figure drawing stuff.

I finally returned to this lesson series and did some of these robo beans. Would like to know how I did on them, the twist seems really hard to understand.

These are my last batch of structure practices. Any feedback would be appreciated. I feel like I understand the fundamental ideas of structure but my work could probably be improved in a lot of ways.

A lot of beans. Used the Proko vid for poses but didn't follow his examples while doing these. Already compared my results to his so I don't need critique super bad but might as well upload it since I said I'd do everything in this course.

Here are some 2 minutes gestures. I've been doing gestures for awhile now but never seem to get any better at them. Not sure what to do. I can individually pick apart each failed gesture to get an idea of where I stumbled, but it seems inconsistent to me. Maybe others can notice some larger trends in my work where I'm falling short?
