I agree with @Dan B on the posing, maybe try to draw inspiration from surfer poses or people sailboarding? To me I think it's the "soft round brush" feeling that confuses a bit the eye. The colors and shadow and light shapes on the boat feel a bit too smudged, like everything has the same texture. Other than that it's a pretty cool painting! We can see you put a lot of work into it and that's great! :)

Working on this design as I've been a DM for 8 year. Just curious if the composition is a strong as possible before taking it further.

That's nice! I guess it depends on what you want to convey, but I would have pushed the perspective on your figure more than on the board. It's not much but here's a scribble to illustrate what I have in mind (don't look at it too much hahaha) Love the colors on the curtains already!

Right that's the best I'll come up withXD Secret agent type of an action comedy. The agent has to learn to play a trumpet, as a part of his disguise, in 3 days. Might add some explosions n jumping cars idk :D What do you think?

Hey everyone! I started working on my own submission :) It's the first time ever I do something like that, and I even tried to scramble all my workflow and applying a bit of Marco Bucci's vibrating colors technique haha... I hope it's not going to be too much of a mess even if it is supposed to look like one! If a movie was made after my life, it would be a funny parodic disaster movie hahaha. So here it is, it's called "Why Me" and everything goes wrong at the same time, from the dead rising to buildings catching fire, to a tsunami, a volcano erupting (that I might change because it does not look quite right where it stands) and even the explosion of the moon in the far back... I still have a lot of work, and things are going to change (the wave on the right of the character for example) but I'm open to suggestions and opinions !

Hi everyone, I made some sketches for my poster and some color studies. I would like to hear witch one of the color studies you think is better fitting. Her a bit of context: So, my father and I love the Dolar trilogy movies with Clint Eastwood. So I decided to make a western theme poster. Now, the important part of my life is that I had to move a lot and adapt to different environments, from the US to different city’s in Mexico, that is why I put a train in the poster.

That's really cool! I'd say combining the train shot from the center color study and one of the heads with more perspective either from compo 1 or 3 would make a perfect poster :) I think the positionning of the face on the color studies is a bit too flat, but the upper right one looks so cool!

Looks amazing! Like it was said before I think the main thing that is troubling me here happens on the underside of the chin, where it connects to the neck (I think it's called the submandibular triangle in english). If the adam's apple is that low, I think we should see a bit more skin from that part of the face even on a person with low body fat. But maybe your reference has a very particular look! Other than that the lighting is super nice, I love the flow and the shape of the neck! And your rendering of the hair is perfect, just the right amount of details and looseness to my eyes :)

Well the shading looks pretty good! The right eye socket (so left if you look at the drawing) looks right to me but the shape of the left one (right on the pic) has a weird angle in the upper right side. Also the nasal cavity seems a bit too big in proportion with the rest of the skull. Sorry if I mess up the words, english is not my native language! Other than that I think your shadows are very nice! I'd say maybe polish a bit more shape and proportions (for example the back of the skull seems a bit too round and big. If you look at different skulls and just their silhouette you can see that the cheekbones are sticking out a bit) Nice work overall! Keep it up :)
