Hi, everyone! I did the landmarks assignment. After I followed each of Proko's examples, I drew from a reference photo that captured the body from a similar angle (after the first one, I found a muscular back; after the fourth one, I found an extreme scapula position; etc.). If anyone could give me some feedback on how I did, I would so much appreciate your time and attention! Did I place the landmarks right (particularly those tricky scapulae?) Also, I have another question that's been bugging me, and maybe I'm being way too anal about it...When Stan draws the landmarks, he lines up the PSIS with the iliac crest. On the "Landmarks of the Human Body" diagram included in the premium lesson, the PSIS is a little below the iliac crest. Which one is right? Does it really matter? Thank you everybody! I wish you all good fortune on this challenging (at least for me!) lesson! May you all learn a lot :) Sincerely, Grace Mounce

This is pretty good, two notes : keep your work clean. And remember that you are adding details to the beans and gesture. You should still have the stretch and the bumps accordingly. I will have to go to my sketchbook to fully explain it.

This is a mock-up I did. I am currently working on my portfolio. I am taking a break from my anatomy class because there is something I need to take care off urgently in the next couple of months. I know I need a lot of work on muscles and all so I will keep studying and practicing. I am just not going to push for new lessons.

Cool concept. The only thing I will say is while they look realistic, and it’s probably what a toxic mushroom will look like in real life. However when designing creatures it’s about giving people clues, and this ones don’t convey danger, or toxicity. you can use triangle shaped things ( pointy things) , colors: purple, green, fluorescent, and even mechanical repeated patterns that don’t usually happen in reality to convey danger.

I love your dedication, I will post some more feedback later. But from my original observation I will say that you should work on your exaggeration and gestures a bit

Great work, just make sure you work on your gesture, specifically the line of action ( center line of the pose). and one more thing. When it comes to landmarks, the important thing to remember is make sure you still respect the structure of the skeleton under the muscles. It’s much more than just identifying them. You need to be able to draw the 3d shapes, do a little bit of perspective and then ad the landmark marchers and simplification on top.

My first "sketch from imagination". I was quite happy with the result but after watching the demo I realise I didn't do the exercice at all... just mixed two images together. Let's try with another animal and a better approach!

Like Benjamin mentioned this too complicated to be called gesture drawing. Gesture is about capturing the essence of the pose and not about figure studies. There should be an indication of form, anatomy but not flat out render with shading. Plus gesture drawing requires a lot of practice. Keep at it your shape design are lovely, not entirely atomically correct, but I love them.

i have been studying the pelvis and structures. my biggest issue is lately I have been so distracted, and stressed at the same time. I am enjoying gesture a bit more now, and of course I started to learn how to draw mechs. ( perfect for structure studies). I also got some cheap super large sketchbooks for my side notes. ( and thank you for mentioning this, “ having more legs rooms on the page is wonderful”). so how is your studies going guys?

Warm up and study. I just wish the day had more than 24 hours and that I wasn’t so tired all time when it comes to practicing even more.
