Tried a digital drawing of Hobbes jumping, I always loved the lines of Watterson.

I feel I punched above my weight with this one, being a level 1 student. I don't have the competence to analyze the original drawing, I just tried to copy it in the most accurate way I could.

I had fun with this one, as an afterthought I maybe could have used even thicker lines.

Little Question about Line thicknesss:
Do I create thick lines with one stroke by using the tip of the pencil or do I have to do multiple strokes to create "one" thick line? It is way easier digitally but I want to be able to do it with a regular pen as well

Same question here, there are a lot of possible combinations involving pencil type (2H..8B), tip sharpness (dull..sharp), tip position/tilt (vertical..horizontal), grip (tripod..hoverhand), stroke pressure (light..heavy)! Some practical tips from @Stan Prokopenko would be greatly appreciated to speed up our exploration process!

I think I spent too much time on this one, I had to erease and redraw a lot of lines. Also, straight lines are super hard, is using a ruler allowed?

I'm having troubles simplifying the boots. I suspect the laces were a trap and I fell for it! Now I'm a bit lost and don't know how to continue the left boot. I'll try a different approach for the right boot...

second attempt, before I watched the demo -- got a page full of notes on what I can improve!

As a complete beginner I tried my hand at the pear drawing. First two attempts were done before watching Stan's demo, the last one after. I feel I need more range in my pencils, I only have from 2b to 2h and I find it difficult to differentiate shadow values without a lot of passes that make dark patches too murky and not enough clean. Fun exercise!
