Drawpile with Castlevania Art Crew (Livestream)
This Tuesday we're going to have artists from Powerhouse Studio (Castlevania and He-Man Masters of the Universe) join us for a special livestream! You'll get to see them draw and hear them answer questions from the community. If you have any questions for them, you can start leaving them now in the comments before the stream starts.

Do y’all have any opinions on display vs non display tablets? I use iPad but want something more sensitive like a drawing tablet, idk to save up for a yr for display, or use a non display and buy it now. Is non display easy to get used to? Do you prefer it, or display just the way to go?

Is there talk within the animation industry about making more narratively driven, high concept, action shows, for adults?

hello! i am a product designer working in tech (chose design over more illustration biased careers e.g., concept art, etc, as a career choice) and i often find myself "creatively drained" and not able to work on personal projects as my day job takes a lot of my creative energy.
my question is, do you feel that your career work affects your creative energy positively or negatively? and if affects you negatively, what do you do to counteract that and what would be the ideal balance for you to have a successful career and still feel creatively fulfilled?

Are there any great online community you would recommend to help learn art, asking question and get feedback etc (Reddit isn't particularly helpful for me.)

When working on a concept, do you work better with many layers or do you try to keep it limited to a set number?

Does not having experience in a specific program the job requires hinder your chances? Ex: Photoshop, toon boom

Hello folks,
I was wondering concerning the design of Netflix's Castlevania, How the pipeline has been established so far in your production?
How many artists were involved into R&D + approved design of each character, creatures and locations & how many were involved into bringing them to life through animations and execution?
Do you feel that you had a great deal of creative freedom during the process (submiting ideas and concepts that were not necessarily part of the script for instance)?
Thank you for the interactive initiative by the way, great idea!

Hard to word is question but seeing people getting into the industry, would you say the age range is wide? Like....can someone older get into art/industry?

Is talent required to master drawing the human figure or is dedication and practice enough.

Hi there! Sorry if this was asked already - I joined the stream a little late. I am a junior character designer and Powerhouse is a big inspiration of mine. What are some red flags you tend to see in character portfolios?

How do you deal with trying to draw consistently and keeping distractions in place, instead of them ruining your drawing time?
