I inadvertently combined shapes and values in my first attempt. However, now after watching the values video, I realized that after squinting, I need to make my darks darker and further distinguish between the lightest light of her hair and the rest of her face. Working on that now.
Just realised that I didnt do the right thing in the squint shapes exercise and hve mixed shapes with values.
Here is my HW assignment for the "Shapes" segment. Appreciate your feedback, thanks so much!
Morgan, so thankful for this course! Okay, while squinting and looking for shapes, do I need to just look at the model as a whole, or, do I need to look at the particular area of the face I'm looking to design shapes for? It might seem obvious that the answer is the latter, but I know I can tend to still focus on detail even while squinting. So, I've always been uncertain as to whether it's still best to just look at the model as a whole and sort of use my peripheral vision (while squinting) to design shapes for, let's say, one of the eye sockets, versus squinting and looking at the eye socket I'm working on. Hope that makes sense, thank you!
Thank you Morgan for adding new squinting lessons and assignments. I enjoyed doing this. Here is my first one.
