Your assignment is to edit the footage for the Break In scene. I recommend making your edit before watching the edit I made, so you can make your own creative discoveries. As you edit, take the time to learn the shortcuts I talked about earlier this chapter.
After you finish sorting through the footage, decide what music you want to use for your edit. You shouldn’t need any additional sound effects but you can add any if you want to.
Bonus Assignment
If you want to get additional practice, make an alternate edit of the scene with a different tone and pacing. Pick a different song and see how that changes the feel of the edit. See if you can make the scene feel like its from a different genre with just the edit.
